Wash and peel the lemons. Be careful to use only the yellow part. Not the white inner skin. Place the lemon peels with the alcohol in a covered bowl for at least 7 days. Bring the milk to boil and add the sugar. Let it cook for about 10 minutes. Strain the lemon peels from the alcohol (do not throw the alcohol away!) and add them to the milk. Boil for another 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool. Add the alcohol and the vanilla extract. Bottle and keep in the freezer. |
