There is nothing better than a lovely meal with your family and capped off with this amazing Cream of Limoncello. Popular throughout Italy, this recipe originates in the Amalfi Coast, where lemons are plenty. <\/h2>\n

0.50<\/span> qt<\/span> Pure Alcohol<\/span><\/div>\n
6<\/span> <\/span> Organic Lemons<\/span><\/div>\n
2.20<\/span> lbs<\/span> Sugar<\/span><\/div>\n
1.25<\/span> qts<\/span> 2% Milk<\/span><\/div>\n
1<\/span> tsp<\/span> Vanilla extract<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Wash Lemons<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Peel lemons, making sure to take only the yellow skin and not the white part beneath the skin. (The white is very bitter and will ruin your Crema di Limoncello). <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Place lemon peels and alcohol in a glass or stainless steel bowl. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Cover bowl and let rest for at least 7 days<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

after 7 days have passed, In a large pot, bring milk to a boil<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Add the sugar to the milk.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Simmer for about <\/i> 10 Minutes<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Strain the lemon peels from the alcohol (do not throw away the alcohol).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Add the lemon peels to the milk. Simmer for another <\/i> 10 Minutes<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Remove pot of milk\/lemon peels from heat. Let cool.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

When cool, remove the peels with a slotted spoon or sieve.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Add the alcohol and vanilla extract to the milk mixture.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Crema di Limoncello is now ready to bottle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Keep bottled in the freezer.
