3<\/span> tbsp<\/span> Sugar<\/span><\/div>\n
10<\/span> <\/span> Drops of Lemon Juice<\/span><\/div>\n
10<\/span> <\/span> Drops of Orange Juice<\/span><\/div>\n
1<\/span> <\/span> Package of Lady FInger Cookies<\/span><\/div>\n
1<\/span> <\/span> Lemon<\/span><\/div>\n
1<\/span> <\/span> Orange<\/span><\/div>\n
Bakers Dark Chocolate<\/span><\/div>\n
Cocoa Powder<\/span><\/div>\n
2<\/span> cups<\/span> Italian Espresso<\/span><\/div>\n
¼<\/span> cup<\/span> Milk<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Prepare Ingredients<\/div>\n

Make espresso (2cups), add milk (1\/4cup) and sugar to taste. Let cool in a shallow bowl.<\/p>\n

Grate the lemon peel of \u00bd lemon<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Grate the orange peel of \u00bd orange<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Juice lemon and orange…..10 drops each<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Chop the chocolate into pieces slightly smaller than commercial chocolate chips<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Open Mascarpone containers and pour off any liquid<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Unwrap lady fingers and set them aside on a plate<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Mixing – With Whisk or Electric Mixer<\/div>\n
\n
\n

In a large bowl, whisk together egg yolks and sugar (3 Tbsp) until mixture is light in color and forms a slowly dissolving ribbon on the surface of the mixture when some of it is lifted with the whisk and allowed to fall back into the bowl.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Gently whisk the mascarpone into the egg yolk mixture<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Add zests and juice of lemon and orange to mascarpone mixture<\/p>\n

In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff. Whites are stiff enough when you can turn the bowl upside-down and the eggwhites will not fall out of the bowl.<\/p>\n

Gently fold the eggwhites into the eggyolk\/mascarpone mixture to create a lighter, fluffier mixture<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Dip lady fingers into cold espresso mixture, one at a time and line them in a single layer in a baking dish, completely covering the bottom of the dish<\/p>\n

Spread about 1\/3 of the egg\/mascarpone mixture on top of the lady fingers<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Sprinkle a thin layer of chocolate shavings over the egg\/mascarpone mixture<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Continue layering \u2013 espresso dipped lady fingers, mascarpone mixture, chocolate shavings, until you have used all the ingredients, or until you don’t have enough to complete another layer<\/p>\n

Top layer-sprinkle the top layer with a dusting of cocoa powder. Use a small sieve to shake the cocoa over the grated chocolate.<\/p>\n
