Review By Mary F - Mahopac, NY - USA (November 2010)
The country, the history, the people and warm feeling of being with family.
The best part of the vacation was the time we spent among the people of Italy outside the tourist traps.

Culture Discovery Vacations was the greatest introduction to Italy ever. From the moment we got off the plane, we felt like we were among family. Everyone was warm and friendly. Each day was adventure filled and exciting. We experienced so much of the culture not as tourists but as friends. The group decided how they wanted to spend their time. Our cooking classes were like cooking in the home of a close friend, laid back, comfortable and most of all fun.
We visited wineries sampling amazing wines along the way. We visited a cheese factory with the most amazing pecorino cheese. We spent a day at the Vatican and saw all of the major attractions in Rome but the best part of the vacation was the time we spent among the people of Italy outside the tourist traps. Michael and Paola keep the groups small which creates an intimate and comfortable experience. We still keep in touch with the others in our group as well as Paola and Michael. We experienced Culture Discovery two years ago and still speak fondly of our experiences often. The vacation was "all-inclusive" and we felt that the value was absolutely amazing. We stayed in our own personal villa in town and met the group each morning at the bar for coffee and pastry before setting out on our daily adventure. The only things that were not included in the cost were souvenirs and airfare. Our experience was so awesome that we are planning to return next year.
