Limoncello is a perfect after dinner beverage to share with friends and family. This is also a great gift to give to people over the holidays.

Ingredients
7 organic lemons
2 ¼ cups water
1 ¾ cups grain alcohol
1 ¼ cups sugar

Wash the lemons.

Peel lemons, making sure to take only the yellow skin and not the white part beneath the skin (pith) The white pith is very bitter and will ruin your Limoncello.

Mix the water and sugar in a saucepan.

Add lemon peels to the water/sugar mixture.

Bring water/sugar/lemon peel to a boil.

Remove from heat and let cool.

When cool, add the alcohol.

Pour this mixture into a glass container. Cover and let rest for a week

After a week, strain liquid to remove lemon peel

It is now ready to bottle.

Let bottled Limoncello rest for 1 month before drinking.
