Taking a cooking class in Italy was on my bucket list, so when a friend raved about her trip to Barolo with Culture Discovery, I decided to go for it.
I am a single woman who prefers not to travel solo, but this was the perfect trip for me.
From the moment I was met at the airport, until my departure a week later, I felt safe and well cared for. Not only are the staff terrific, but the group becomes a family. In addition, once the cost of the trip is paid there is nothing more to spend, other than some well deserved tips, and souvenirs you may want to purchase.
This was the perfect balance of cooking and sightseeing. Carla, our resident chef and her helpers are incredible! We cooked in the kitchen of the most gorgeous Tuscan villa and what a culinary and sensory experience! We traveled to small towns in Tuscany and Umbria that the average tourist doesn't see.
The trip far exceeded my expectations and I look forward to taking another with Culture Discovery. Sally O
