Totally out of my comfort zone I decided it was time for me to treat myself to a special vacation that was on my bucket list. I was tired of not doing something because no one else wanted to go. So here I went off to Italy on my own. I found Culture Discovery on the internet googling cooking vacations in Tuscany. I liked the culture that the company presented and carefully read many of the reviews.
Well, as soon as I found the meeting place in the airport I was greeted with a big hug from our tour guide for the week. She was so warm and friendly and immediately made me feel like this would be a week I would never forget. Then I met the other three couples on the trip. After meeting them I thought the week would be a little uncomfortable for me being the only single. After the first outing, I realized that was truly not the case; in addition to the others on the trip I started to one by one meet the other members of Cultural Discovery. Within a day I was part of this extended family. We ate at large tables with different people each time, we all looked out for each other and had so much fun. We cooked, we drank, and toured always as a group. The company goes out of the way to make sure you want nothing. Great experience. Look forward to my next vacation with them.
