Amalfi - July 2015 Love to Love Amalfi, Atrani, Capri and Villa San Eremo!
Thank you to all of the CDV and extended CDV team - we literally had as many people working on making our tour perfect as there were people taking the tour - not kidding.
There was so much to do, everything was timed perfectly, it was restful also. We had a family of wonderful Italian sisters and members of their own families cooking beautiful meals for us, entertaining us, teaching us, caring for us. This was a professional tour but very personal and informal at the same time. We assume there was lots of work going on in the background - obviously - but the trip was done so well and was so much fun that it really did seem like we were on a flawless visit to our friends and family who live in a fantasy villa overlooking Atrani and the Mediterranean Sea...
This trip was of particularly high value in relation to the cost. The views are fantastical, the food is sublime, the planned experiences are varied and of extremely high quality. We could have never seen and experienced so much had we not been with this group. These leaders are people from the area and they really know what they are doing - what is worth seeing, how much time to spend, artisan food experts, transportation, shopping, what to eat when, family stories - on and on.
Tips - Know that there are literally hundreds of steps taken on stone stairs every day of the trip - seek advisement from the CDV staff regarding potential solutions for mobility issues, don't assume you can't do it, it was worth it - everyone said so.
Bring your appetite for food and fun and fantastic!
