After breakfast, we will drive to the Southern Tuscan Hills to visit the charming village of Cortona. Cortona was the inspiration behind the novel Under the Tuscan Sun. Here, we will spend a few hours touring this quaint Tuscan town where you can do some shopping, or take a short walk to visit “Bramasole”, Francis Mayes’ villa described in the famous book... or “Villa Laura”, the villa that doubled for “Bramasole” in the movie.
After spending time in Cortona, we’ll take a short drive just outside of town to the Tenimenti d'Alessandro Winery for our first winery experience of the week. – We’ll have a private tour, sample some vino and have a private lunch on the terrace at their beautiful villa.
After lunch, we’ll head to the outskirts of Perugia as we visit the world-famous Perugina Chocolate Factory.
