Cooking classes are, without question, what we are best known for. After all, what better way is there to really get to know a culture than to dive deep into its culinary traditions?
But since we are all about giving our guests a truly unique cultural experience that they will carry with them through their lives, our cooking classes are by no means typical classes. They are an incredible experience like nothing else you will ever find.
Our cooking classes are events. They are a time when we all get together and prepare a party of sorts for ourselves. We are a big family, and we make amazing meals together, all the while with an instructor that is there to guide us along. So you are doing, not watching. You are getting wrist deep in dough, you are laughing, drinking... just having the most amazing time you can imagine.
The menus for our cooking classes are full meals, and they are always based on the local recipes of the area we are in. So when we are on our Soriano and Norcia week, we are focusing on Tuscan and Umbrian cuisine. In Sicily, it is Sicilian all the way. On our Barolo weeks, it is pure northern Italian cuisine.
Another big focus for us is that if you are going to learn it, you better be able to do it when you get home. So our recipes are all home cooking, and when we teach you, we help you get a feel for how you will be able to do it when you are home. After all, you may not be able to get that cheese, or specific cut of meat... so we design our classes in a way that you also learn alternatives that you can bring home with you.
