It won't be our last
This was our first CDV tour. It is really hard to put into words just how great of an experience this was. As soon as we got home we booked our next tour with CDV.

My wife and I had high expectations for this tour, but they were definitely exceeded in every way. Our guides, Tommy and Maggie were great. They were knowledgeable, hard working, and most of all, a lot of fun. We joked with Tommy that he had worked his way up to a solid 2.5 stars, but in reality, he and Maggie were the best. I don't think I've laughed so hard in a long time as I did one night on the bus when Tommy was trying to translate the idea of "salivating" into English.
In general, we prefer to travel on our own rather than be part of a tour, but this tour included so many great experiences that we could never do on our own. For us the highlight of the trip was the two nights we spent at Gabriella's home, cooking, eating dinner with her family, listening to music and dancing under the stars. But there were a lot of other great times - making cheese, making chocolate, cooking classes, harvesting sea salt.
While it's actually hard to describe to others why this tour is so great, perhaps an illustration from one day of the tour will help. I'm pretty sure that for the entire group, the several hours we spent in a butcher shop making sausage and then eating our meal on plastic tables in the middle of the shop was much more enjoyable than the fancy dinner we had at an upscale restaurant that night. For us, that meal was actually the only one that really didn't fit with the vibe of the tour.
We loved this trip so much that we've already booked our next CDV tour, and I'm pretty sure that won't be our last.
