Neither of You Has to Be the Planner
On most trips somebody ends up as the logistics department. Researching restaurants, booking the transport, working out what you are both doing on Thursday, then defending that decision when you are tired and hungry in a town neither of you knows.
That job does not exist here. A host runs the day from breakfast through to the last glass at dinner, so you are both guests the whole way through.
Most of our trips run eight days and seven nights, which comes to twenty meals: seven dinners, six lunches and seven breakfasts, with wine at lunch and dinner. Sicily runs twelve days and Argentina and Uruguay thirteen, so those come with more. At least three hands-on cooking classes, both airport transfers and transport throughout are in the price on all of them.
Hands-on means what it says. The two of you stand at the counter working the dough yourselves, side by side, rather than watching a chef demonstrate from the front of a room.
One pricing detail happens to fall your way. Every price on this site is quoted per person with two people sharing a room, which is how you already travel. The number on the trip page is the number you pay. There is no second figure to ask a reservations agent about.
Worth saying plainly: this is not a private tour for two. You join a group of about twelve, and you get the same table, the same kitchen and the same host alongside those people rather than instead of each other. Couples make up 41% of the reviews on this site, and for most of the ones who write to us afterwards, that turns out to be the point rather than the compromise.

My husband has Italian heritage, yet had never traveled outside of the US. CDV made the whole travel and planning process a breeze!
I just finished my 4th trip with CDV and I promise it won’t be my last! These people know exactly how to make a trip of a lifetime.
Croatia was our second CDV trip and we have a third booked for Sept (Florence / Chianti). I don’t think we’ll ever go back to a typical tourist itinerary. CDV makes us feel like family and friends!
Our trip had very full days of new experiences. We had the benefit of two guides, Maggie and Katha, that were both delightful, so caring and knowledgeable. Food and wine plentiful, hotels great.
This was our second trip with the Culture Discovery Family. We could not have asked for a more wonderful vacation!
