We celebrated our 47th Anniversary with another fantastic CDV Crew in September. After our last year's back-to-back weeks in Soriano and Norcia, we were anxious to book The Amalfi Coast soon after we returned home. We were not disappointed.
Our private Villa with great views down to the Mediterranean and open air food prep area was well worth the climb ! ( As others have noted, if you are not able to negotiate many flights of stairs up from the street level after wonderful long days on a boat or ground tour, you may want to get in " Stairmaster shape " before going. )
There is less cooking and more shopping time during this week than others, but with so many beautiful places to visit like Positano, Ravello, Capri and Pompeii, you will not be bored. We had many excellent local dishes with a seafood emphasis and I made the best pizza I have ever had - with some help from Pepe ! If you don't have a good time immersed in the Italian culture with the locals they gather around you and the new friends you'll make - it is your fault !
Finally, if you are lucky enough to have Sophie as your Hostess who will take very good care of you, then you will know what I mean when I say that by the end of the week you will either want to marry her or adopt her ! Time to start looking at Sicily with CDV.......Grazie
