This was my third CDV trip and my favorite. It was a small group of 8. My husband and myself, 4 of our closest friends and 2 others. This is one of the reasons it was so special. Our guides Maggie and Katha were amazing. So competent and so much fun. They solved any issues and/or requests that we had very effectively. Our accommodations were at great locations and exceeded expectations. In Menfi we had our own private country home with a beautiful pool. Our experiences were unique, harvesting salt, 4 wheeling on Mt Etna and my favorite, cooking dinner with Gabi and Luca who are chefs, at their family villa. Not just cooking! We enjoyed massages by Gabi's daughter who is a massage therapist, buggy rides with their family horse and music by their friends who are great musicians. We cooked, ate fabulous food, danced, and sang. The best! We had the opportunity to try local food in Palermo. Think lung and spleen sandwiches. Not so good but the other food was. It was a wonderful time and I wouldn't change a thing.
