Words simply cannot express what a wonderful time I experienced in Portugal with CDV! I came with my friends, made new friends and we were all treated like family as we cooked and ate together!

My trip to Portugal with CDV exceed my expectations! From the moment Vitor picked us up at the airport, I knew that this was going to be more than a cooking trip! His warm and friendly face was representative of all the warm hosts of CDV. I cannot say enough about Marta and all the CDV crew. They made us feel like family as they provided us with so many experiences —cooking delicious Portuguese meals, drinking Portonics and Vino Verde, traveling to the beautiful Douro valley, visiting wineries, learning about Porto ( as we ate our way through the city) just to name a few of the wonderful experiences we had. Most importantly; however, was how welcoming Marta and her family and how Vitor and his family welcomed us into their homes to cook and eat together! By the end of the week, all of us in the tour group felt like we had been friends our entire lives; we felt like we were part of the CDV family. 0n a personal note, I want to add how helpful Marta was in finding me a place to buy a 40 year Port wine for my son’s friend. It meant a lot to me. Marta also arranged me getting a CoVid test for my trip home to the USA. Inesh, new to CDV, assisted me in many ways. One thing I will always remember is how she assisted Vitor in picking me up in town after my CoVid test so that I could join the group in their shopping excursion. I cannot fail to mention Daniele and his daily warm smile and how he found songs for us to sing on the bus! There are so many more things I can say about my CDV experience but words simply cannot express the way I feel! One thing I do know for sure is that I am definitely going to travel with CDV again!
