We were looking for a unique experience with a small group. We found it. The home base lodging was wonderful, guide(s) knowledgeable/amazing and drivers careful on the winding roads. The food, well just amazing. Sorry t okssp using the word amazing, but it fits! We went to some wonderful places, most quite remote and intimate. As this was booked as food and wine, it certainly did not disappoint. It felt like we were part of the families we were often dining with. Most of the cultural destinations were unique and worth visiting, from a small goat farm to ancient cellars in the core of a city. We had a group of 14 or so, quite a nice size to make new friends. All "tours" were with our own small group. If I were to offer areas to consider for improvement 1) We personally could have done without Florence. Way too busy/tiring and did not fit in with the rest of the unique places. Let people do that on their own. 2) would have loved some olive oil tasting/education to go along with the great wine learning 3) better match of printed recipes to what we were making. That said, a wonderful experience and we would not hesitate to recommend to others or possibly join another tour at some time.
