Full Review

This was my first CDV tour & I went with my mother. I am not a ‘tour’ type person, but we wanted to do a little cooking in Italy in a casual environment & having a very laid out itinerary made my mom feel more secure. It was a small group, so I conceded.  I have never felt so cared for on any vacation! It was so much fun, they take the “treat them like family & friends” motto to the nth degree. You will laugh until your stomach hurts! Because the groups are small, it is like a bunch of friends on an adventure.

Of course seeing places like Assisi, Orvieto (my personal favorite), Montepulciano, and the extraordinary Civita di Bagnoregio are life changing in & of themselves, but it’s the boutique small, family owned wineries & olive oil makers that truly make the experience so unique & personal. No one cooks & teaches as well as Carla - the food in Soriano is A-MAZING! The days cooking & eating at Michael & Paola’s villa are so special. The grounds are magnificent! We loved our little apartment, although quite the hike up each day, we had the most spectacular balcony overlooking the valley & mountains! Six years later as I write this review, my heart still jumps just thinking about mornings on that balcony, with the sun rising, the church bells ringing & the morning mist lifting... knowing I was in for another fabulous day with whatever CDV had in store for me!

Sergio will drive you safely to all the stunning little villages you will visit. Just sit back & enjoy the ride!
