What an amazing experience! The CDV family opened their home and hearts to their guests. Instantly, we felt like we were part of the family. They shared their traditions, knowledge, and dreams with us. They put so much heart into each moment with us and created a space where all of the guests quickly bonded, which really made the week special. The cooking and food were fabulous. We left with recipes and a real appreciation for Italian food and culture.
CDV staff have the itinerary fine tuned and know how to get you from one point to another without any problems. Transportation is very comfortable in their luxury bus or van.
My husband was apprehensive about leaving the US and going to Italy. He's not as adventureous as I am. When we found a trip that offered cooking (one of his favorite things to do), he got excited. Not only did he feel comfortable traveling with the group and enjoyed the cooking, he became adventureous. During this vacation, he developed an appreciation for and enjoy many types of cheese and wine, two things that he doesn't particularly like. One morning, we walked around Soriano in the rain. He would never had done that at home!
