Since our first tour in 2009, there has never been a CDV tour we didn't like, but this past week in Chianti truly takes the cake.
We wanted to show our friends and family, first hand, just how amazing Italy can be when you're introduced to it by "local experts". Our host Sophie was outstanding in every way. She handled every one of us with charm and laughter.
The professional city tour guides in Siena and Florence (especially Florence) were articulate and educational, and often quite humorous.
The cooking classes are always a highlight for us. Chef Lorenzo and I have formed a foodie bond via Facebook. Francesco in Cortona was brilliant; he has so much great advice to share.
All the wineries were beyond generous with their time, food and wine. Tasting the various wines with a meal give a true sense of pairing wines to a particular dish.
To say that our daughter and our friends enjoyed themselves would be an understatement. The looks on their faces throughout the tour and the tears at the end said it all. There is no comparable tour company to you, anywhere.
