the experience got off to a delightful start with mattia meeting us at the airport and making us feel welcomed right away. we were wisked off to Tuscany and the adventure began.

i had read that we would become family, and could not exactly envision how that might occur, but it did - just naturally. our hotel was comfortable and the staff was accommodating - several common spaces enabled us to gather at times, and i must say, breakfast was outstanding. once underway, our schedule was jam packed with restaurant meals, cooking class meals, and plenty of wine, much of it from small wineries that we visited. we were warmly welcomed everywhere we went. i can't think of anything that was missing and i very much look forward to future cdv trips - it's magic!
