This was our fourth CDV vacation, so the bar was set high for Amalfi, and it did not disappoint! In fact, it surpassed our past visits in many ways. Yes, the Amalfi Coast is stunning, Pompei is fascinating, the wine flows in abundance and the food.....the food is sublime. However, what set this trip apart from others, was the genuine feeling that we were visiting our family and becoming part of their lives. Claudia, Pepe, and their entire family made us feel as though we had known them for years. When cool temps and a little wind made a day on the water impossible, Linda and Claudia pivoted to provide alternatives with never a fuss. Impediments to the normal schedule were never a source of consternation, but rather an opportunity to try something else...always with a smile! It was clearly the three generations of this family more than any other element that made this trip really special. By the way, Amalfi is built on a cliff side and features lots of steps and uphill walking. Get into shape before going so you can enjoy this wonderful experience optimally!
