An Unbelievable Experience
I don't believe I've ever been so deeply affected by a vacation before. The only negative thing was the fact that we had to leave!

The Culture Discovery vacation was a truly wonderful experience. Umbria was beautiful, our hosts were fantastic, and every activity we participated in was something special. The opportunity to connect with local people in smaller towns was priceless, and it was such a treat to be able to experience the joy that so many people exuded. I felt so welcome everywhere we went! The itinerary sounded like it was going to be fun, but I was really unprepared for just how much I enjoyed it. Truffle hunting, chocolate making class, cooking classes with a marvelous chef, visiting a family owned olive oil mill, and a winery, cheese-making, a dinner in the backyard of a local family, walking around beautiful medieval towns, and long lunches and dinners with all the new friends in our group. (Oh yeah, and the food was divine!) I was really surprised at the level of emotional attachment I found I had to both the place, and everyone I was with during the week. I don't believe I've ever been so deeply affected by a vacation before. The only negative thing was the fact that we had to leave! I hope to have the opportunity to experience another Culture Discovery vacation, because I think I'm pretty addicted now.
